THE MONSTERS' MENU
This is what the Monsterchefz are having today:
CREAMY FRUIT SALAD
Ingredients:

2 Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into chunks

1 orange, peeled and cut into chunks

1 can of pineapple rings in syrup, drained and cut into wedges

½ cup of raisins
-
1 cup of plain yoghurt
-
A pinch of salt
Instructions:
Add all the ingredients in a large bowl and stir to combine.
SWEET POTATOES WITH APPLE AND BACON
Ingredients:

500 g floury potatoes
-
500 g sweet potatoes
-
2 sweet apples (i.e. Jazz,…)

2 onions
-
50 g butter
-
250 g smoked bacon
-
1 tbsp mustard
Instructions:

Peel the potatoes, cut them into equal pieces and boil them for 15 minutes in a pot with salted water. Drain the potatoes and leave them in the pot with the lid on to steam dry.

In the meantime, peel the apples, core them and cut into cubes. Cut the onions in half moons. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the apple and the onion for about 10 minutes on medium heat with the cover on the pan.

Cut the bacon lengthwise in 8 slices. Heat the grill pan without any oil or butter and grill the bacon for 5 minutes. Don’t forget to turn the slices over halfway through.

Add the fried apple and onion to the potatoes and make a mash. Season with pepper, a little bit of salt and mustard. Serve with the grilled slices of bacon.
