KARKAS
He might look a bit mean, but in fact that’s just a facade. Karkas is actually one of the friendliest Monsterchefz. He’s always ready to put his cleaver to use and help you hack or cut your meat. One of Karkas’ special talents is that he can stay in an oven of 210°C for more than 2 hours. So make sure to check your oven before leaving the kitchen if you want your dish to be there when you return!
KOUTEAU
Meet the kitchen ninja! Kouteau always has his razor-sharp knives at the ready to help you cut, slice and dice your ingredients. He enjoys a piece of meat from time to time but is especially fond of all kinds of fruits and vegetables. Maybe that balanced lifestyle is the reason Kouteau is 230 years old but still has the looks of a 20-year-old!
SISTOR
Sistor tends to be the drama queen in the kitchen. She’s always fussing about details, from the dressing on your salad to the make-up on her face. Sistor can fix a tasty dessert like a champion but often loses herself in a string of gossip. If you ever see her, don’t tell her to ‘cut it’ because she surely will!
SPOONSTER
Spoonster rightfully calls herself the queen of the kitchen. She handles her spoons like a true Kung Fu expert and stirs any liquid to a tasty dish. The other Monsterchefz love her heaps because she keeps everything tidy in the kitchen. Thank God for that!
PING PAN
Ping Pan is the only Monsterchef with a double name. He’s a big fan of all kinds of pans and can fry or bake almost everything in your kitchen. Rumour has it that he’s an Olympic table tennis champion but you might want to take that with a grain of salt!
ROULLEAU
It’s all rock ‘n roll with this dude. If something needs to be flattened, Roulleau makes sure it’s done within seconds. He loves to roll around in flour and wallow through dough. Roulleau is the kind of guy that everyone loves to have as his best friend. So cute!
KORKY
Unlike Bottler, Korky cannot stand a bottle that has been left open. He’s always hopping around, on the lookout for items he can put a cork in. Korky sleeps with one eye open which makes him the perfect guard to watch over the kitchen.
KOMPOT
Kompot is a bit of a gypsy. He hasn’t got a fixed place to live or sleep but always manages to find a pot to hide in. Thanks to his spongy body he can slip into any available size. So don’t be surprised to find this friendly little guy looking up at you when you lift up a cover in your kitchen!
FRISSEE
Frissee has been reading cookery books since the ancient Egyptians wrote their first words. He has a very good knowledge of herbs and knows like no other how to combine various ingredients. He keeps his slotted turner at the ready to flip everything from burgers to pancakes. .
PEPPAS
Scattering salt and pepper all over the kitchen as he goes, Peppas enjoys seasoning your food. He’ll never prepare a meal by himself but he’s the perfect Monsterchef to help you to spice things up a bit in the kitchen! It must be said that he’s stuffed with the best pepper and salt you can imagine.
MIXAR
Also known as Mr. Blender, this omnivore eats and mixes anything he comes across. If you think there’s something he can’t mix, you better think twice! Mixar is loaded with energy and is always busy making new cocktails and fruit mixes. The only downside with this guy is that he tends to make a lot of noise.
BITER
Biter likes to sink his teeth in almost everything. No wonder he’s gotten himself the nickname Kitchen Dracula! If you ever see a hole in a package or box, chances are Biter was there. He once tried biting a large wooden spoon but that didn’t turn out as expected because it’s been attached to his body ever since.
RASPER
This buddy is neither a boy or a girl. This pink gnome has a constant itch so it’s always trying to find something to scratch. Unless you’re up for some grated ingredients, we recommend keeping Rasper away from any cheese, potatoes or carrots you have lying around. If you spot this Monsterchef in the kitchen, chances are Mixar is close by.
RAGOUT
Also known as MC Master, Ragout is a self-proclaimed kitchen hero. He knows almost every possible recipe by heart, talks with a French accent and claims to be a source of inspiration for all the great chefs. Trying to do well, Ragout often feels the urge to improve your cooking. So if you think your dish tastes a bit different than it should, chances are Ragout has changed some of the ingredients or added some extra herbs.
KWIZEEN
Kwizeen loves spoons made of wood and can be spotted anywhere where there’s soup. He especially loves tomato soup with meat balls. Because he’s a bit overweight, Kwizeen sometimes stumbles into the pot. So if you see a food stain on your table, it could well be Kwizeen who’s had another tumble!
OFOUR
As you might expect, Ofour is fond of anything that comes out of the oven. His favourite dish is minced meat with mashed potatoes and zucchini topped with grated cheese. Generally he’s a very happy dude, except when he’s in the neighbourhood of a fridge or freezer.
BOTTLER
You might want to keep this little fellow away from your cellar. Bottler can’t stand anything that has a cork on it and uncorks every bottle he sees. No one knows where he keeps his loot. He doesn’t really see eye to eye with Korky so those two often get into a fight.
KUPSKY
Kupsky is a very nice guy but due to the cup that’s stuck on his head he’s unable to see everything that’s going on in the kitchen. A piece of advice: if you’re in the mood for a cup of coffee or tea, just check that Kupsky isn’t having a nap underneath your favourite cup or mug.
JARRY
Poor Jarry, he’s got his head stuck in a glass jar! He isn’t really an added value in the kitchen but loves to watch and learn from others. Unfortunately, he’ll never be the great chef he aspires to be. Because everyone loves Jarry, he always gets the chance to taste the dishes before they’re served.
CROUSTY
This Monsterchef adores all kinds of fruits. You’ll find Crousty in the kitchen early in the morning when he’s preparing a tasty juice to accompany your breakfast. He can sometimes be a bit cranky if he can’t find any fresh fruits. Nobody has ever managed to hold him for more than one second because his body is so slippery.
WAVER
Waver, aka Mr Megawatt, is a very warm-hearted creature. He’ll heat up anything within seconds. He doesn’t really get along with Ofour and Kompot because they say Waver is just a hype that will disappear in a few centuries. He’s especially afraid of metal cutlery, cans and tin foil.
BLANCHER
Blancher is a devilish guy who loves to mess up your bakery goods. He’s especially fond of butter, flour, eggs and sugar. You’re most likely to spot him in the neighbourhood of your cake batter or cookie dough. Be sure not to turn your back on him because he likes to sneak some extra ingredients in your pastry!
NUTTER
This little peanut look-a-like is completely cracked up! Every time he sees a nutcracker, he can’t help himself and has to hide inside. According to Nutter, he has a sore back that needs to be ‘cracked’ every day. His favourite food is anything that has to do with chocolate. His friends once even caught him sleeping in a chocolate praline!
SOSAASJ
This 3 inch chef was born in 1913 and managed to fall on an iron stick when he was just 25 years old. Now he’s forced to stumble around the kitchen, turning everything that crosses his path. He loves to lie down in a pan and enjoy the soft melting butter. He’s very afraid of anything that’s magnetic.
